Tom sat on the bus. His shirt was wrinkled. He looked nervous. "What if I say the wrong thing?" he thought.

A woman next to him smiled. "Try to relax," she said. "Fix your tie and breathe." Tom adjusted his tie. He smiled a little. "Thank you," he said.

Tom practiced answers quietly. His voice was calm. He imagined himself at the job, confident and happy. The bus ride ended, and so did his fear.
