A Neighbor’s Warning Call

I got a call from Mr. James, my elderly neighbor, early yesterday. He sounded worried and said, "I think my email is hacked. I got strange messages from my account." I asked him, "What kind of messages did you see?"

He replied, "Emails I didn’t write. Some asked for money or links to click. That seemed strange to me." I told him, "Those are signs of a hacked email. Hackers want your money or personal info."

Then, I asked, "Did you click any links or open attachments?" He said, "No, I didn’t. I’m careful with emails from people I don’t know."

I shared a tip: "Always check the sender’s email address and don’t click on links if something feels odd. Also, use a strong password and change it often." Mr. James smiled and said, "Thank you. I’ll be more careful now and tell my friends too."
