Bus Ride to the Interview
Anna sat quietly on the bus, her hands gripping a folder full of notes. She repeated her answers softly, hoping to remember them for her job interview. Her voice shook a little, showing how nervous she was about the big day ahead.
Next to her, a man smiled kindly and said, "You look like you're ready for something important. Nervous?"
Anna nodded, "Yes, it's my first interview for a job I've really wanted. I'm worried I might mess up."
The man leaned in and said, "Just be yourself. Confidence comes from knowing what you can do, not from pretending. Take a deep breath. You've got this."
Anna smiled, feeling a bit calmer. She realized kindness from strangers can sometimes be the best encouragement. It reminded her that preparation is key, but staying calm is just as important.
