Echoes in the Neighborhood Chat

Emma lost her cat, Snowy, and felt sad. She wrote a message in the village chat. "Has anyone seen my white cat?" she asked.

Some neighbors saw the message. They said, "You do not care about Snowy! Why did you let her go?" Others wrote fast replies, some angry and some sad. The chat got loud, and Emma felt very upset.

Her friend, Lucy, came to see her. "Don't listen to the bad words," Lucy said softly. "People sometimes talk without thinking online. You can answer with calm words or just stop reading."

Emma took a deep breath. She wrote a kind answer in the chat. "Thank you for caring. I love Snowy and want her back too." Slowly, Emma felt better. She learned that online talk can be strong, but calm words help most.
