I am Freddy, the cat in the bakery. I watch Mr. Joe every day. He works hard and looks at the old paintbrush in his hand. Sometimes, he says, "I wish I painted more."

People come to buy bread and cakes. Mr. Joe smiles and talks, but I see his eyes are a little sad. "Maybe next time," he says to himself. I purr and sit near him. I think he is happy with the bakery but dreams about art.

The village is quiet and small. I like to hear the stories and see the smiles. I hope Mr. Joe knows he is good here, and his bread makes people happy, even if he dreams of painting.
