Last Tile on the Puzzle
The afternoon rain tapped softly on the windows as Anna and her brother, Jake, sat at the kitchen table surrounded by puzzle pieces. They had been working on the 1,000-piece puzzle for hours. Each piece seemed like a small memory from their last summer holiday.
"I think this blue one fits here," Jake said, holding a piece with a small corner of the sky on it. Anna shook her head gently. "No, I believe this piece belongs over here," she replied, pointing to the edge of the puzzle.
They paused and looked carefully at the empty spot. Finally, Anna tried her piece, and it clicked perfectly. "You were right to be patient," Jake smiled. "I guess sometimes it's good to slow down and think."
Finishing the last tile together made them feel proud. It was not just about the puzzle, but the time they spent as a team on a rainy day like this.
