As a taxi driver with over 20 years on the road, I was curious when my company introduced a popular ride-hailing app. At first, I wasn’t sure this new technology would help me. Traditional taxi work has a personal touch, and I worried the app might take that away.

After using the app for a few weeks, I noticed some big changes. Customers now book rides with just a few taps, which is very convenient for them. One day, a passenger said, "It's great to see where the taxi is on my phone before it arrives!" I agreed; it made my job easier too because I could focus on driving instead of waiting around.

However, I also saw some downsides. Sometimes, the app sends me far away from my usual area, which means more driving and less money. Also, I miss the chance to chat with regular customers, which made my work enjoyable.

Overall, I’d give the app a 7 out of 10. It brings many benefits through technology and helps many people get rides quickly, but it can reduce the personal connection and sometimes affect my income. For now, I will keep using both the app and traditional methods to balance my work life and customer service.
