The elevator stopped suddenly. John, the job candidate, looked around. Next to him was Mr. Green, the hiring manager, and a man in a dark hat who smiled too much.

"We must wait," said Mr. Green. John noticed the man holding a small folder. He whispered to John, "I know the company's secrets. Give me your phone, and I won't tell anyone."

John stayed calm. He looked at Mr. Green and said loudly, "Can you press the emergency button?" The man in the hat moved quickly, but John blocked his hand.

Together, John and Mr. Green stopped the man. The elevator started again. Mr. Green said, "You stayed calm and smart. You have the job!" John smiled, happy and relieved.
