The Forgotten Name at the Roaring Twenties Dance
The music played loudly at the 1920s jazz dance in Chicago. Men wore suits with ties, and women had short dresses and pearl necklaces. A young man named Tom met a lady and danced with her happily. But he forgot her name after the introduction.
Tom said, "I’m sorry, miss, what is your name again?"
The lady smiled and said, "It’s Mary."
Tom laughed, feeling a little shy. The music and fun made it hard to remember everything at once. Many people at the dance were friendly and enjoyed the lively night.
