The Late-Night Scroll
Last night, like many others, I lay in bed scrolling through my phone even though I was sleepy. I knew I should stop, but every time I tried, another interesting post caught my eye. After a while, I heard my mom calling from the next room, "You should really get some sleep. That phone isn’t helping!" That simple comment made me think about my habit.
I realized that staying up late on social media was affecting how I felt during the day. I was tired, a bit grumpy, and less focused at work. The more I scrolled, the worse I felt. It wasn't just about being on my phone; it was about how I was taking care of myself and my time.
This made me remember that many people struggle with the same problem. In today's world, phones and screens are everywhere, and it's easy to lose hours without noticing. This shared experience shows how common it is to have habits that hurt us, even if we don’t want them to.
So, I decided to make a small change. Tonight, I plan to put my phone away an hour before bed and instead read a book or listen to music. It might not be easy, but I hope it helps me sleep better and feel happier. It's a simple way to take control of my life, and I believe others can do the same.
