The Missing Sketchbook at Art Camp
At the summer art camp, Mia was ready to fill her sketchbook with new ideas. But when she reached for it during lunch, it wasn’t there. "Has anyone seen my sketchbook?" she asked, trying not to sound upset.
Her friend Ben shook his head. "I saw Sarah at the easel earlier. Maybe she knows something?"
Mia went over and found Sarah painting a bright landscape. "Hey, Sarah, have you seen a sketchbook around here? It’s blue and has a yellow cover," Mia explained.
Sarah looked thoughtful. "Actually, I borrowed something that looked like a sketchbook to carry my paints. I didn’t realize it wasn’t mine! Let me check my bag."
Relieved, Mia followed her to the bags and spotted her missing sketchbook inside. "Thanks, Sarah! I guess it was just a mix-up," she said, smiling.
Later, Mia noticed other campers’ artworks and heard stories about their creative processes. That’s when she realized the camp wasn’t just about painting—it was about sharing, friendship, and understanding each other. Her missing sketchbook had led her to appreciate the community even more.
