The Pirouette Puzzle at Maplewood Studio
It was the day before the Maplewood Studio's big spring recital, and the whole dance team was buzzing with excitement. But trouble appeared when Mia noticed the lead tutu for the opening pirouette routine was missing. "I swear I left it right here last night," she said, panic in her voice as she looked around the dressing room.
Her friend Jake, who danced alongside her, decided to help find it. "Let’s think this through," he said. "Who had access to the costume?" They learned only a few people had been in the room since rehearsal ended.
They asked around gently, not wanting to accuse anyone. One by one, they talked to dancers and staff. Finally, the janitor mentioned seeing a box moved to the storage closet earlier by a new assistant.
In the closet, Mia spotted the tutu neatly folded in the box, surrounded by other costumes. Relief washed over her face. "I’m glad it wasn’t lost for good," she smiled. Jake added, "It’s a good reminder to trust each other and stay calm in tough moments."
That night, the dancers felt closer than ever, ready to perform together with trust and friendship leading the way.
