The Printer Jam Proposal
Jake and Lisa stared at the printer, the red light flashing. "Not now," Jake said. "This report needs to be done today."
Lisa sighed, "Maybe it wants to keep us talking. We hardly say more than 'hello' anymore." She smiled nervously. "So, what are we exactly? Just coworkers?"
Jake looked away, unsure. "I don’t know. It’s easier not to say. But I like when we talk like this."
The printer finally spit out the papers. Jake handed Lisa her copy. "Maybe we should fix more than just the printer." They both laughed, the tension easing a bit in the busy office.
