In a big forest, two squirrels worked hard before winter. Lucy saved many nuts for cold days. Max, her friend, bought bright leaves and shiny stones to decorate for the forest festival.

"Max, why do you spend so many nuts on decorations?" Lucy asked. Max smiled, "The festival is fun! It makes the forest happy."

When snow covered the ground, food was hard to find. Max felt cold and hungry. Lucy shared her nuts without a second thought.
