When Words Get Lost in Translation

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to check in since we're running into some issues with the project schedule. Some tasks have been delayed, and I think part of this is because of misunderstandings over what needs to be done. Can we clarify the main priorities? Thanks!

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for reaching out. I think the time difference makes it hard to get immediate replies, which slows us down. Also, some phrases in the emails might get misread since English is not everyone's first language. Maybe we can simplify our messages?

Hello team,

I totally agree with both of you. From my side, I also notice that cultural differences affect how we approach deadlines. In my country, it’s normal to ask questions directly, but I realize some find that impolite. Let's try being more open to avoid confusion.

Hi all,

Good points. Maybe short video calls can help us understand each other better? Even just once a week for quick updates. Emails alone seem to increase mix-ups.

Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions. I’ll organize a brief call next week so we can discuss the project live. I believe this will improve communication and bring us back on track.

Best,

Sarah
