Why Forest Trails Make City Life Better

Living in a busy city can be stressful. Noise, crowds, and fast pace make it hard to relax. But I found a simple way to feel better: hiking forest trails near the city. Every weekend, I take a walk through the trees, and it really helps me forget about work and worries.

Studies show that spending time in nature reduces stress levels and improves mood. For example, researchers found that just 30 minutes in a green space can lower the hormone linked to stress. I can feel this myself. After hiking, I feel calmer and more focused.

Once, a friend asked me why I spend so much time in the forest. I said, “It’s like a reset button. The city is loud and busy, but the trees are quiet and peaceful.” He tried it and agreed, saying, “I didn’t know nature could make me feel this good.”

Because nature helps so much, cities should protect these forest areas. If we lose them to buildings and roads, many people would lose a chance to rest and be healthy. Taking care of green spaces is not just about saving trees; it’s about helping people live better in the city.
